A new ‘Big Eight’ food allergen in the U.S.?

In the U.S., eight major food allergen categories are currently acknowledged by the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act: milk, eggs, fish, crustaceans, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts and soybeans.
